Ripper Casino Sports Betting: What RipperBet Puts on the Board for Aussie Punters

Ripper Casino Sports Betting: What RipperBet Puts on the Board for Aussie Punters

Page updated: October 8, 2026

Search "Ripper Casino sports betting" from Australia and the sportsbook at the top is RipperBet. It's a betting app on an .au domain with Racing and Sports menus, and Australian Rules, Rugby League and Cricket are in its A-Z. "Ripper" is also everyday Aussie slang for "great", so a "Ripper casino" result can just as easily be an offshore casino page borrowing the word. Below you'll find what RipperBet actually prices, how to read those prices and how to check which kind of site you've opened.

Ripper Casino, RipperBet or Just Aussie Slang?

Three different things hide behind the same search:

  • RipperBet. A betting app with a Racing menu (Horse Racing, Harness, Greyhounds, Futures) and a Sports A-Z that includes Australian Rules, Rugby League, Cricket and Tennis. If you want a punt on the footy or the gallops, this is the product the search points to.
  • The slang. Offshore casino marketing uses "ripper" the way any Aussie would. One offshore casino landing page quotes a player calling the site "absolutely ripper" before talking up its pokies. That page has nothing to do with RipperBet.
  • A "Ripper Casino" brand. Nothing on RipperBet's board links it to a casino under that name, so don't assume a "Ripper Casino" and RipperBet are the same company.

The quick test: a page that leads with pokies and spins isn't a sportsbook. A page that leads with racing, Next To Go events and a Bet Slip is the board described below.

Is RipperBet Legit for Sports Betting in Australia?

"Legit" is something you check yourself, and it takes a couple of minutes. Find the licence details in the operator's footer or terms, note who issued them, and look the operator up on that regulator's public register. If no licence is named, or the regulator sits overseas, read the offshore section below before you deposit a cent.

Compliance Markers You Can See on RipperBet

Two things sit at the bottom of RipperBet's sports page:

  1. The responsible gambling tagline "Imagine what you could be buying instead."
  2. The national support line. RipperBet points punters to free and confidential support on 1800 858 858 and at gamblinghelponline.org.au.

Neither marker proves a licence on its own, so you still check the register. They're a fast first filter, though. The offshore casino landing page that uses "ripper" as slang shows neither: no tagline, no 1800 number, just a bonus pitch and pokies.

What Changes If a "Ripper" Site Turns Out to Be Offshore

Picking the wrong "ripper" site costs you more than a worse price. Here's what you give up:

ProtectionAustralian-licensed sports and race bettingOffshore operator
Licence that lets it take Australian customersYesNo. Malta Gaming Authority, Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner and Curaçao Gaming Control Board licences don't authorise supplying gambling services to Australians under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001
BetStop self-exclusionCoveredNot covered
Where a dispute goesACMA complaint routeThe operator's foreign regulator

Australia's national self-exclusion register, BetStop, went live on 21 August 2023, and its reach stops at Australian-licensed wagering: sports betting and race betting. Offshore casinos sit outside it entirely. That means a registered BetStop user who can still log in to an offshore "ripper" casino isn't looking at a gap in the system. The casino simply was never covered by it.

Sports and Racing Markets on RipperBet

RipperBet's board has three layers, and knowing which one you're in saves a lot of scrolling.

Board sectionWhat's in itExample from the board (October 2026)
FeaturedHeadline sports, a featured race and a featured gameNFL, EPL, UFC; Sportsbet Might and Power at Caulfield; Dallas Cowboys vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
All Sports & Novelties (A-Z)Every sport and novelty market the book listsAustralian Rules, Rugby League, Cricket, Tennis
Next To Go / Next To JumpEvents about to start, each with a countdownITF W35 tennis, WTT China Smash table tennis, a Lebanon Premier League match, Fire Wind in Kinsley R7

Featured Sports and the Full A-Z

The Featured Sports strip shows NFL, EPL and UFC. In October 2026 the Featured Sport panel was the NFL Week 5 game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That strip is a shortcut, nothing more. For AFL, NRL or cricket you go into the All Sports & Novelties (A-Z) list, where Australian Rules, Rugby League and Cricket sit alongside Tennis and the rest of the codes. Footy punters are one tap deeper than NFL fans.

Racing Codes and Featured Races

Racing gets its own menu: Horse Racing, Harness, Greyhounds and Futures. In October 2026 the Featured Race was the Sportsbet Might and Power at Caulfield, and the Next To Jump Favs panel had Fire Wind (trainer J G Hurst) paying $2.20 in Kinsley R7.

Racing and sport share the same home screen, and the quick-start panels mix both. Check the event name before you tap a price.

How Deep Do the Markets Go?

This is where the board needs a second look. Where the Next To Go list showed a market count, it ran from 1 to 4. An ITF W35 Villeneuve d'Ascq Round 2 match had 4 markets; an ITF W35 Seville Doubles semifinal had just 1. A WTT China Smash Round of 16 match had 2, with Match Winner as the market on show.

What that means for you:

  • A 1-market event is head-to-head or nothing. Don't go looking for lines, totals or player props there.
  • Check the market count before you build a multi. It sits under the event name, so you'll know whether the leg you want exists before you open the event.
  • Football can be three-way. The Lebanon Premier League match on the list priced a draw, so a football "Match Result" isn't the same two-way bet as a tennis one.

Reading RipperBet Odds Without the Guesswork

RipperBet shows decimal odds. The price is the total you get back for every $1 staked, stake included, so a horse "paying $2.20" returns $2.20 per $1.

Here's what prices from the board mean for a tenner:

Price on the boardWhere it appearedReturn on $10Profit on $10Win rate you need to break even
1.20Visscher, ITF W35 Match Result$12.00$2.0083%
1.22Al-Nejmeh, Lebanon Premier League$12.20$2.2082%
2.20Fire Wind, Kinsley R7 favourite$22.00$12.0045%
4.20Hageman, ITF W35 Match Result$42.00$32.0024%
4.80Draw, Lebanon Premier League$48.00$38.0021%
13.00Al Ahli Akhaa Aley, Lebanon Premier League$130.00$120.008%

Three things fall out of that table:

  1. Short prices leave little profit. A $1.20 shot has to win more than 8 times in 10 just to break even. Lose once at $10 and you need five more $10 wins at that price to get your stake back.
  2. The book's margin is in the prices. Turn both sides of Hageman vs Visscher (4.20 and 1.20) into break-even rates and they add to about 107%. The three football prices (13.00, 4.80 and 1.22) add to about 110%. Everything above 100% is the bookie's edge, and in these two examples the three-way market carries more of it.
  3. Multis multiply the shorties. Combine 1.20 and 1.22 and you get about 1.46: roughly $14.64 back on $10, with both legs needing to come in. Lose either one and you've done your dough on a bet that was only ever paying about $4.64 profit.

Deposits and Withdrawals: What Australian Punters Can Use

RipperBet's main navigation has a Deposit tab next to Promos and the Bet Slip. The methods behind it show up once you're in the cashier. Before you sign up, it's worth knowing the rules every Australian betting cashier sits under:

  • Credit cards are out. A credit card ban for online wagering applies from 12 June 2024.
  • PayID runs on the New Payments Platform. It's the user-facing handle for the NPP, cleared by Osko across 100-plus Australian banks. Your bank sets the daily PayID cap, typically A$5,000 to A$25,000, and you can change it in your banking app.
  • POLi is gone. It shut down on 30 September 2023. A cashier that still lists it as live hasn't been updated.
  • Bank transfer is the slow lane for payouts. On offshore sites that default withdrawals to bank transfer, payouts take one to two business days, however fast the deposit cleared.

One red flag is worth spelling out. The offshore casino page that borrows "ripper" still lists Visa and MasterCard credit card deposits. If a site calling itself an Aussie bookie will take your credit card, it isn't playing by Australian wagering rules.

Mistakes to Avoid Before Your First Punt on RipperBet

  • Signing up on the wrong "ripper". Before you hit Join, check the site leads with racing and sports, and look for the "Imagine what you could be buying instead." tagline and the 1800 858 858 line in the footer.
  • Funding an account by credit card. A site that still offers it is a reason to leave, not a convenience.
  • Trusting a PayID badge you can't find at the cashier. Some sites show a PayID badge on the landing page but only switch the method on after a chat with support. If it isn't in the cashier, it isn't really on offer.
  • Assuming BetStop has your back everywhere. It covers Australian-licensed sports and race betting only.
  • Building a multi blind. Check each event's market count first.
  • Counting on a promo you haven't read. RipperBet has a Promos tab. Read the terms there before any offer goes into your bankroll.

Common Questions

Do I pay tax on betting winnings?

The Australian Taxation Office treats recreational gambling winnings as generally not assessable under TR 2005/15. That's general information; if your betting looks more like a business, get advice for your own situation.

How do I self-exclude?

For Australian-licensed sports and race betting, use BetStop. With an offshore operator, you request self-exclusion from the operator directly or block gambling sites at device level with Gamban or BetBlocker.
